Formal Mindfulness Is Overrated

Formal mindfulness is overrated.

Here’s why:

Any formal practice requires daily effort.

And most people struggle with finding time for it during the day and sticking to the plan.

Want a spiritual practice that requires no effort and will transform your life?

Keep your phone out of your bathroom, bedroom, and off the dining table.

This one simple step will make a true difference in your ability to be present and available for your life.

-> Don't focus on mindfulness exercises.

Instead, ban your phone (and the noise of a constant stream of information) from places where it doesn't belong.

- Bathrooms are for taking care of your bodily needs.

- Dining tables are for feeding yourself and communing with loved ones.

- Bedrooms are for rest, sleep, love, and pleasure.

Phones have no business in these places. Be a rebel; take your life back.
