Quit Sacrificing Your Current Life For Some Glorious Future Life

If you are over 40 and struggle with workload, don’t waste your time on mindfulness.

Go for a simpler strategy.

Quit sacrificing your current life for some glorious “future” life.

Future isn’t winter and we are not in Westeros.

It’s not coming.

Not 100% guaranteed, at least.

And while you spend your time working, building some distant future where you are supposedly happier, the people you love are getting older.

Your parents are getting more fragile, your kids are growing up.

In some years you might not have them in your life like you do now.

Stop lying to yourself that you need yet another thing to be happier, and admit that you have what you need. And enjoy it now, while it lasts.

Because tomorrow is not guaranteed.

And you just wasted a perfectly good chance to enjoy what you have for the sake of chasing yet another mirage.

P.S. Forgive the sternness, I am writing it mostly for myself.
